If one of the first 38 levels had a challenge that was too hard (or just too much effort really), I would settle for 2 stars, and then pick up that one needed star later on in any level from 39 to 80, or I would just pick up an easy one from a bonus level. The way I went about this was I went for 3 stars on the first 38 levels, and then would 1-star my way to the end. In order to do this, you need 156 stars, and at least one star on each non-bonus level. That sounds worse than it actually is though, considering you won't need to 100% them.
